Last night at dinner, we were discussing letting the boys build something out of the scrap woodpile over the summer. The boys, of course, think this is a spectacular idea. As they were trying to persuade us to allow them to do this, L informed us:
"We might have little brains, but we have big ideas!"

Weapons, Revisted.
We're having a warm spell this week. The boys are out back participating Jedi training. I once again had to explain that we shouldn't actually hit our brothers with our lightsabers and plastic bats and whatever else we've turned into a weapon for this very serious training.
They cannot fathom my reasoning. Even after M, J, M, and then J came in crying after being swacked (the last time J came in he was holding his glasses frame and L was following him with the lens). L asked if I could think of a safe way for them to hit each other.
At least they haven't found the aluminum bat yet.

I Did It!
Twice so far.
Did what?
Ran 3.1 miles. That's a 5K. Of course, my time was slow. Some of you could probably walk it faster than I ran it. But the point here is that I ran it. The first time was on Saturday and the second time was this morning.
I still don't think I'm a runner, but I've got to do something so I'll stick with running until I run a real 5K this Spring sometime and then I'll decide if I want to do another.
Now I'm going to work on my time and just work on it getting easier. I'm thinking of starting this training program. It's nice to have something tell me what to do.
